New blood test could predict Alzheimer’s 3.5 years before disease
London scientists have developed a blood test that could be used to predict the risk of Alzheimer’s disease up to three and a half years before diagnosis. Researchers from the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN) at King’s College London collected blood samples from 56 individuals with Mild Cognitive Impairment, a condition which causes a worsening of the memory or cognitive ability.
